Canyon Country Discovery Center works with schools from across the region to offer unique, profound and meaningful educational experiences to youth participants. Our staff will work with your staff to design single or multi-day programs to meet educational goals while providing a positive experience for your students.

Programs can take advantage of our 48-acre campus including hands-on learning center, observatory, bunkhouse, campsites and trail system. We can offer educational river trips on the San Juan River and base-camp style multi-day experiences in the Bears Ears region in addition to campus-based programs.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

  • Hiking or river rafting in Manti-La Sal National Forest, the San Juan River and Bears Ears National Monument.

  • Learning human history through archaeology.

  • Wildlife observation.

  • Stewardship projects.

  • Journaling.
